Your Journey
If you want to see the real Puerto Rico most visitors never experience, this is the tour I love to share.
We start by heading into the beautiful mountains of the island, where the air gets cooler, and the landscape turns into a lush tropical forest. Here we’ll visit Charco Azul, a natural blue pool surrounded by rainforest.
This is one of those special places that feels hidden away from the busy tourist areas. You’ll walk the trails through the forest, listen to the sounds of the jungle, and take in the scenery that makes Puerto Rico so unique. If you'd like, you can even take a swim in the cool mountain water.
It’s peaceful, beautiful, and a side of Puerto Rico that many visitors never get the chance to see.
After enjoying the rainforest, we continue our drive through the mountains to one of Puerto Rico’s most famous local destinations, Guavate.
This is where you’ll find the legendary Ruta del Lechón, known to locals and visitors alike as the Pork Highway.
Here you can experience some of the best slow-roasted pork in the world, cooked the traditional Puerto Rican way. The aroma alone tells you you’ve arrived somewhere special.
This isn’t a tourist attraction built for visitors. It’s where locals gather with friends and family to eat, listen to music, and enjoy great food.
Most tourists never make it here, but once you do, you’ll understand why Puerto Rico is known as La Isla del Encanto — the Enchanted Island.
