About Ellis

Sharing the Puerto Rico I Fell in Love With

Forty years ago, I bought my first property in Puerto Rico and quickly realized something: this island has a way of getting into your heart.

The beauty, the people, the food, the mountains, the coastline — the more time I spent here, the more I knew that someday I wanted to call Puerto Rico home.

So when retirement finally came around, that’s exactly what I did.

I moved here full-time and started enjoying the island life. But after a while, I realized something else — retirement was a little too quiet for me.

I’ve always enjoyed meeting people and sharing the places I love, so I decided to start showing visitors around Puerto Rico. What began as something to keep me busy quickly turned into something much more.

That was over 15 years ago, and since then, I’ve had the pleasure of guiding thousands of visitors around this incredible island.

More Than Just a Tour

My goal has always been simple:
to give visitors a chance to experience the real Puerto Rico.

Of course, we visit famous places like the rainforest and beautiful beaches, but I also like to show guests the places locals love — mountain towns, hidden swimming spots, scenic drives, and restaurants where the food is unforgettable.

Some of my favorite moments on tours aren’t even planned — they happen along the road when we stop somewhere interesting, talk with locals, or discover something unexpected.

Many guests tell me that the tour feels less like a typical excursion and more like spending the day exploring Puerto Rico with a friend.

That’s exactly how I like it.

A Personal Tour Experience

I keep my tours relaxed and flexible.

You won’t be packed onto a big bus or rushed through crowded stops. Instead, we take our time, enjoy the scenery, and experience the island the way it should be experienced.

Along the way, I’ll share stories about Puerto Rico’s history, culture, and the places we visit.

And if you happen to know a little Spanish, you’ll find it goes a long way with the locals.
